The Biblical doctrine of Justification has to do with how one is right with God. As sinners, even though many try to be right with God through various means, our only true hope is pardon which comes through Christ and the forgiveness of sins. But how can a sinner receive such pardon? The answer is faith as Clinton so powerfully explains in this sermon. In this study of Psalm 110, Matt Trent discusses the nature and work of Christ's exalted reign as well as the judgment King Jesus will execute against wicked rulers on the last day. What is the difference between a trial and a temptation, and if temptations come from the Evil One, why did Jesus teach His disciples to say to God: "do not lead us into temptation"? We hope you enjoy this last lesson on the Model Prayer. Forgiveness lies at the vert heart of Christ's message. In the Model Prayer, and throughout His ministry, Jesus talked about the urgent need for His followers to manifest the same kind of forgiveness to others that they ask of God. Most of us who have refrigerators and pantries filled with food can't relate to praying for daily bread. How then, can Christians who have plenty to eat pray the third line of the Model Prayer: "Give us this day our daily bread"? |
